Fishing was always one of Robert Nickle’s favourite pastimes, and after scooping $5.000.000 he intends to enjoy it even more. The fortunate Mega Millions winner plans to retire and spend his free time surrounded by nature while practicing this hobby.
The lucky Connecticut resident correctly guessed the main numbers 6, 30, 58, 60 and 61, but missed the Mega Ball 17 in Mega Millions draw on March 13th. Match 5 prizes usually amount to $1.000.000, but his was five times larger than that because Mr. Nickle added Megaplier option to his ticket. He purchased it at Dolly’s Deli, located on 6 Boston Avenue in Stratford and was happy to hear his favourite deli will receive a $2.500 bonus for helping him win $5.000.000. Employees at Dolly’s were very excited to discover one of their most devoted customers became a millionaire.
“I’m still a bundle of nerves. I go to Dolly’s Deli all the time on the way home. They were knocking stuff over as they were coming to congratulate me!” recalles Nickle.
When it comes to his plans for the future, the Mega Millions winner intends to buy a new house for his family and enjoy his retirement. He was always a big fan of fishing, and this enormous victory provided him with an opportunity to enjoy his favourite hobby even more. The Stratford resident usually fishes near the Long Island Sound, but he’s considering a change of scenery because he has enough free time to travel somewhere else.
