Dubai is definitely the world’s capital of over-the-top architecture – every time we think we’ve seen it all, they come up with a new extravaganza! The latest addition to the never-ending list of breath-taking objects is One Palm, described as the most expensive apartment building in the Vegas of the Middle East. You could afford living there after the next Powerball draw – try your luck to become $293.000.000 richer!
Developed by the Omniyat Properties, this impressive establishment is set to become one of the most exclusive real estate properties in the Palm Jumeirah. One Palm comes with a total of 90 apartments, but the sales process is done “by invitation only” with potential buyers being asked to set aside at least $3.250.000 if they want to move in. What they get in return is the most beautiful view in the whole country. Residents will be hypnotized by the beauty of crystal blue waters of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai Marina’s glistening skyline.
London-based studio Elicyon was in charge of designing the building’s interiors, making them just as spectacular as the view outside. The space is flooded with natural light at all times thanks to the enormous floor-to-ceiling windows. Colour palette mostly features blue and soft silver grey tones, becoming direct reflection of One Palm’s outside world. Elicyon’s founder Charu Gandhi sees their design as the modern and unique homage to Dubai’s culture and exquisite beauty.
“It’s interesting for us not being based in Dubai, as we’ve come from outside and haven’t been influenced by any other development. We’ve come to this place with a fresh perspective,” explained Gandhi.
One Palm comes with large open garden terraces and pools on each level, spa and salon, outdoor cinema, meeting facilities, lounges, children’s areas and a library. Apartments also feature a lot of lavish bespoke furniture, commissioned specifically for this space.
